In collaboration with: Flower Carpet
2016 was the 20th jubileum of this great event, and to celebrate it we participated at the making of the wonderful Flower carpet, that had as central topic the Belgo-Japanese friendship. As you can see, the carpet breathes Japanese style, symbology and colours, with a beautifull white and red crane in the middle and some koi right next to it.
As usual, we used about 500.000 begonias to make this carpet, but on this occasion we also introduced some new materials produced by the International Cooperative of Ephemeral art and the Catalan Federation of Ephemeral art, such as the blue and purple coloured sawdust, that offers to the carpet not only a new texture but also the possibility to experiment with new colours that couldn't be provided with natural flowers.
The result is a breathtaking flower and ephemeral art carpet, that breathes japanese culture and art.
