In collaboration with: Flower Carpet
On August 2016 we built the Monumental Flower Carpet located in the Grand of Brussels to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Belgo-Japanese friendship and diplomatic relationship. But before that event, during May Tokyo organized the "Brussels days" event, where business leaders, managers and personalities from the culture sector could forge commercial, economic and artistic links between Japan and Belgium. It was the best opportunity to promote it and stimulate the flower carpet culture in Japan, so we went to Tokyo to place 2 flower Carpets located in 2 of the most iconic places of the city.
One of them was placed in the Ropongee Hill Arena in the heart of the capital. The official opening of this carpet had as special guest the Governour of the city, Mister Yoichi Masuzoe, among plenty others. You can find a video op the official opening in this link.
Both Carpets were made with different kinds of flowers, such as rose petals, where we represented our Art Nouveau heritage so that Tokyo and the whole Japan could enjoy our culture as much as we would enjoy theirs 3 months later in the heart of Brussels.
